About Us: At Redstone Nursing, we are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to the communities we serve. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Correctional Nurse to join our team in Western Australia.
Position Overview: As a Correctional Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive nursing care within correctional facilities. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the health and well-being of inmates, providing primary health care, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to inmates, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform emergency procedures as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Educate inmates on health management and disease prevention.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience.
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
- Strong emergency skills and experience in primary health care.
- A valid Australian nursing registration (AHPRA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
