Health & Saftey Officer - Aged Care
A proactive and experienced Health & Safety Officer is sought to support the development and delivery of a strong, organisation‑wide WHS framework. This role is hands‑on, visible across multiple sites, and central to building a positive safety culture for staff, residents and visitors.

The Role:
As the Health and Safety Officer, you will contribute to safe systems of work and continuous improvement across all service areas.
  • Managing systems including incident reporting, risk registers and compliance reporting
  • Conducting site safety inspections across multiple locations
  • Delivering and coordinating WHS training, onboarding and capability‑building
  • Developing and maintaining Safe Work Procedures and risk assessments
  • Supporting psychosocial safety and wellbeing initiatives
  • Leading audits and ensuring compliance with Victorian legislation and aged care standards
  • Managing WorkCover claims and Return to Work processes
  • Conducting ergonomic assessments for onsite and home‑based roles
Requirements:
  • Experience in aged care, healthcare, disability or community services
  • A degree or diploma in Work Health & Safety
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian WHS legislation
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR certification
  • 2–3 years experience in a multi‑site or operational environment
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with all levels of staff
