About the Roles
AOD - Consult liaison role. Triage and address AOD-related presentations in ED and across various hospital departments. Undertakes comprehensive AOD assessments, including screening, risk evaluation, harm reduction, brief interventions and follow up care to support patients during the acute phase of their treatment. To ensure continuity of care through clear communication and
collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and outpatient settings.
Inpatient - The nurse is an active participant in a multidisciplinary team ideally utilising prior experience in a mental health inpatient
setting to conduct a range of assessments and provide therapeutic interventions and education on mental health issues to
staff, clients, and family members. The role requires a strong cultural safety framework and a commitment to evidence based
practice

- AFP Police Check required within last 6 months
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in community mental health nursing.
