General Manager - Residential Aged Care
A highly regarded, values-based not-for-profit is seeking a strategic leader to oversee its residential aged care services. Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive role provides strategic and operational leadership across two accredited residential facilities and manages two Clinical Care Managers.

Supported by a multidisciplinary team including Quality, AN-ACC, Lifestyle, ENs, RNs, and PCW, you will play a key role in shaping organisational culture, driving innovation and compliance through aged care reform, and contributing to long-term growth and strategic expansion. This is a pivotal leadership position with direct Board exposure and a strong influence on the organisation’s future direction.

The role:
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across residential aged care services, with direct accountability for clinical excellence, compliance, and consumer outcomes.
  • Lead and support two Clinical Managers in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary teams within the facility and operate within an executive structure and report to the CEO
  • Actively contribute to shaping the organisation’s culture, strategic direction, and long-term success
  • Drive innovation, compliance, and service excellence during a period of national aged care reform, ensuring organisational sustainability and readiness for future accreditation.
  • Play a pivotal role in strategic growth initiatives and the expansion of residential aged care services.
Requirements:
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Leadership and management qualifications are desirable
  • Knowledge of incoming reforms and aged care standards
  • Successful managment of a multisite portfolio in the residential aged care sector
  • Proven experience with comissioning projects and acquistions
  • Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • In depth knowledge of compliance requirements, policies and procedures and prepartion of accreditation
  • Proven ability to drive strategic growth and sustainability
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to provide exceptional resident care outcomes.
  • Proven success in financial mangement, human resounrces and operational planning
  • Strong ability to mentor a diverse team
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence effectively at all levels.
