Quality / Clinical Educator – Residential Aged Care Approx. 3-Month Contract | Regional VIC | $80/hr + Super | Accommodation Provided

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (Div 1) to take on a rewarding short-term contract as a Quality / Clinical Educator in aged care.

This is a hands-on role focused on leading quality improvement initiatives, mentoring frontline staff, and supporting compliance across aged care homes.
You’ll be embedded within a supportive regional team, with accommodation provided throughout.

About the Role:
  • Full-time contract (approx. 3 months)
  • $80 per hour + super
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Accommodation provided
  • Based in regional Victoria – multiple aged care homes supported
  • Opportunity for contract extension if business needs align
  • This is a supportive, mentoring and education-focused role
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and lead the Plan for Continuous Improvement (PCI) in collaboration with site leadership
  • Analyse and act on NQIP and SIRS data – identifying risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate and complete monthly audits and support corrective actions
  • Perform gap analyses using ACQSC Self-Assessment and CDECT tools
  • Deliver targeted education and coaching to clinical and care staff
  • Support teams in strengthening documentation, care planning, and service delivery practices
  • Promote understanding and implementation of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to inform and evaluate care performance
  • Ensure accurate and compliant clinical records in line with policy and legislative requirements
About You:
  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRAEssential
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical governance, education or quality improvement in aged care
  • Strong knowledge of NQIP, SIRS, and current aged care compliance frameworks
  • Experience in developing action plans, conducting audits, and facilitating staff education
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively across multiple sites
  • Calm, professional, and adaptable – with a solutions-focused mindset
  • Current police check and up-to-date COVID-19 and flu vaccinations
