Midwifery Unit Manager - Sydney

We’re partnering with a well-established private hospital in Sydney to present an exciting Midwifery leadership opportunity.

They are seeking an experienced Midwifery NUM or an ambitious Midwife ready to step into a Maternity Unit Manager role, working closely with the Maternity Services Manager to lead a busy and well-supported obstetric service.

In this position, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit, provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, manage staffing and patient flow, and foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

With a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement, you will play a key role in reviewing clinical indicators and service outcomes to enhance care quality and the overall patient experience.

Key requirements include:
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife
  • Proven leadership experience within a maternity setting
  • Experience across post-natal, antenatal, birth suite and SCN
  • Experience with clinical governance, national standards, and service improvement
  • Evidence of developing or implementing new maternity services or programs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and procure resources effectively within a healthcare setting
