Nurse Unit Manager – Theatre | Eastern Victoria

Permanent Role | Minimum 64 hrs per fortnight | ASAP Start

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join a well-established private hospital in Eastern Victoria. The Role

As Nurse Unit Manager – Operating Rooms, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the theatre department while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. You will lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering a positive workplace culture and strong team engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and optimise clinical care and operational performance within the operating theatre
  • Manage staffing, workflow, and resource allocation effectively
  • Drive a collaborative and respectful team culture
  • Support staff development, education, and performance
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with standards

About You
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Strong clinical and leadership experience in a peri-operative setting
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and build effective partnerships
  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and clinical projects
  • Up-to-date knowledge of peri-operative nursing best practice
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
