We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (Div 1) to take on a rewarding short-term contract as a Quality / Clinical Educator in aged care.
This is a hands-on role focused on leading quality improvement initiatives, mentoring frontline staff, and supporting compliance across aged care homes.
You’ll be embedded within a supportive regional team, with accommodation provided throughout.
About the Role:
- Full-time contract (approx. 3 months)
- $80 per hour + super
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Accommodation provided
- Based in regional Victoria – multiple aged care homes supported
- Opportunity for contract extension if business needs align
- This is a supportive, mentoring and education-focused role
- Maintain and lead the Plan for Continuous Improvement (PCI) in collaboration with site leadership
- Analyse and act on NQIP and SIRS data – identifying risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate and complete monthly audits and support corrective actions
- Perform gap analyses using ACQSC Self-Assessment and CDECT tools
- Deliver targeted education and coaching to clinical and care staff
- Support teams in strengthening documentation, care planning, and service delivery practices
- Promote understanding and implementation of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
- Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to inform and evaluate care performance
- Ensure accurate and compliant clinical records in line with policy and legislative requirements
- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA – Essential
- Demonstrated experience in clinical governance, education or quality improvement in aged care
- Strong knowledge of NQIP, SIRS, and current aged care compliance frameworks
- Experience in developing action plans, conducting audits, and facilitating staff education
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively across multiple sites
- Calm, professional, and adaptable – with a solutions-focused mindset
- Current police check and up-to-date COVID-19 and flu vaccinations
