Are you a dual-registered Registered Nurse and Midwife looking for your next remote nursing contract?

We are recruiting experienced RN/Midwives for contract opportunities across remote Far North Queensland. These roles offer the opportunity to provide essential primary healthcare, emergency care and maternity support within Aboriginal communities.

You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team while enjoying excellent hourly rates, fully arranged travel and accommodation, and the chance to experience a unique part of Australia.

The role Depending on the community and service requirements, your responsibilities may include:
  • Providing primary healthcare and general nursing services
  • Delivering antenatal, postnatal and women’s health assessments
  • Responding to emergency presentations
  • Participating in after-hours and on-call rosters
  • Supporting chronic disease management and health promotion
  • Providing child and family health support
  • Working collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Workers and local clinicians
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and follow-up care
Essential requirements To be considered, you must have:
  • Current AHPRA registration as both a Registered Nurse and Midwife
  • Recent remote, rural, emergency or primary healthcare experience
  • Current immunisation certification, including HESA or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Strong assessment and emergency response skills
  • Current driver’s licence
  • National Police Check and relevant working-with-children clearance
  • Australian working rights
  • A culturally safe and adaptable approach to healthcare
Previous experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service or remote clinic will be highly regarded.
