Position: Remote Area Nurse (RAN) — Agency Contracts
Location: Central Australia (various remote communities)
Contract type: Casual / Fixed-term / Agency placements
Pay: AU$85.00–AU$105.00 per hour + superannuation + paid overtime
Start: Immediate starts available

About the role
Join our specialist agency placing Registered Nurses into rewarding remote roles across Central Australia. You will deliver comprehensive primary and emergency nursing care in culturally rich community settings, working autonomously with support from a regional clinical team.
Key responsibilities
  • Provide primary health care, acute and emergency nursing, and chronic disease management.
  • Undertake remote community nursing duties including clinics, home visits and health promotion.
  • Participate in on-call and rostered duties as required by the placement.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with local protocols and cultural safety requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with local health services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and visiting specialists.

Essential requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse) — unrestricted.
  • Minimum 12 months remote nursing experience (or demonstrated remote-ready capability).
  • REC (Remote Emergency Care) certification.
  • MEC (Maternal Emergency Care) certification.
  • ALS (Advanced Life Support) certification.
  • Current immunisation certificate.
  • Valid driver’s licence (where required for remote placements).
Desirable
  • Previous experience with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS).
  • Additional emergency/prehospital qualifications or advanced clinical skills.
  • Current Working with Children and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
