Senior Finance Manager – Aged Care

An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Manager to join a values-driven, not-for-profit community organisation dedicated to delivering exceptional care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of its residents.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, the role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, audit, payroll and transactional finance functions, while providing financial insights and reporting to the Board.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the preparation of monthly financial reports, Board reports and management accounts
- Managing budgets, forecasts and financial modelling
- Overseeing payroll governance, superannuation, taxation and statutory reporting
- Managing cash flow, internal controls and financial compliance
- Supporting Residential Aged Care resident financial transactions
- Leading the annual audit process and external reporting obligations
- Providing financial advice to the CEO, Executive Team and department managers
- Leading a small, experienced finance and administration team
- Driving continuous improvement across finance systems and processes.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting
- Membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CPA/CA).
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, accounting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong technical accounting and financial management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience using Inerva software
- Experience in the healthcare, aged care, or community health sector.
- Knowledge of healthcare funding models, regulatory requirements, and compliance reporting.
- Experience working within a complex, government-funded environment.
